Adamah Media is an online magazine focusing particularly on social, cultural, and spiritual topics. It seeks to be a platform where a wide range of views can be respectfully exchanged, aiming always at fairness and truth… and we’d like your view to be among those we publish!

We want to support, recognise and publish talented young adults.

So, we’re launching a writers’ competition for budding journalists and writers aged 18-28, with a cash prize and opportunities for professional development.

Write an article about the following theme:


“A better possible world”

Please note that we are looking for  thoughtful articles on specific topics, for example reports on initiatives already afoot that are helping to build a better world, or particular areas where there could be improvement and how (e.g. the environment, international relations and diplomacy, support for people/groups in need, promotion of the arts, spirituality, etc).

(1000-1500 words)

Let your creativity flow and capture our readers’ attention with interesting and engaging content … but remember, at Adamah we value well-researched opinions and balanced reflections that consider different points of view. And we always avoid polarisation.

We suggest you also read our About Us page and First Editorial to get a feel for our approach and values. We hope to have entries from all backgrounds and we want to make sure you like our approach.

Terms and Conditions

We draw your attention to our underlying Christian ethos and our real openness to people who might think other than us, both of which we take very seriously.

This competition is open to young adults, aged between 18 and 28. 

The writers’ competition is open to articles in English submitted by applicants globally and from all nationalities. 

All images used within any entry should be credited in the image description, otherwise these images will not be used and alternatives will be found for publication. 

Applicants must fill out the form above and upload their article and must also have shared the fundraising posts. Applicants who have issues with this must contact Managing Editor Tascha von Uexkull at tascha.von.uexkull@adamah.media

By entering, applicants are agreeing to work within our Editorial Guidelines.
If applicants do not have social media, it should be agreed with Managing Editor Tascha von Uexkull how else an applicant may promote Adamah Media.

The writers’ competition will be open until the 7th February 2022. Any entries received after this will not be counted.

We will not enter into discussion regarding our judges’ decision of winners. 

All prize winners will be contacted via email and winners must respond to notification of their prize within 3 days otherwise the right to claim the prize will be lost and Adamah Media reserves the right to re-award the prize(s).

Winners will be announced on Adamah Media’s Website, social media and newsletter.

Adamah Media is under no obligation to work with the prize-winners beyond the competition and will only take on staff writers for the internship if we deem the quality of their writing to be good enough. 

By entering, applicants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions.
